This part of the Links section includes professional associations and organizations of businesses, regions and municipalities in Bulgaria and worldwide, which have undertaken different initiatives in the cross-cutting area of environment and regional development.
These initiatives are mainly focused on improving energy efficiency, environmental management schemes, consultations and participation in drafting legislative documents and policies related to regional development and environment affecting the businesses and regional and local governments.

Members of the Association are companies with variable profiles – producers of solar panels; engineers; fitters; investors in pohotovoltaic energy stations; companies implementing projects; financial institutions; investment agents and consultants.
Besides business representatives, members of BPA are also educational and scientific institutions, as well as representatives of the non-governmental sector. This way, the Association aims to connect the business with the educational system and to support the training of well educated professionals, which would develop their skills in Bulgaria and improve the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy.

In dialogue with the branch (sector) and regional industrial associations the Center prepares statements on drafts of the environment regulatory acts and participates in their withstanding before the competent institutions. In addition, CIC organizes seminars, disseminates information and publications, publishes “Industry and Environment” e-bulletin, and offers practical approaches for the pollution reduction or prevention.

Rousses Chamber of Commerce participates in a project for promoting the Eco- Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).

Members of the Bulgarian - Swiss Chamber of Commerce are Agrolink Association and Four Paws Foundation with which joint events, related to sustainable agricultural practices and protection of endangered animal, have been organized.
