Second Work Meeting for Discussing the Updated District Development Strategy of Plovdiv District26.07.2010
On 23.07.2010 in the District Administration in Plovdiv was conducted a second working meeting to discuss the updated District Development Strategy (DDS) of Plovdiv District for the period 2010-2013.
The update is financed under the Rio Conventions project and is implemented with the methodological support of MRDPW. The meeting was attended by members and representatives of the District Development Council; NGOs; local businesses and employer organizations from of Plovdiv District.
The Team Leader of the assignment Prof. Stelian Dimitrov presented the proposed changes which were incorporated in the updated document after the first public discussion on 11.06.2010, as well as a draft of an indicative spatial development scheme of Plovdiv District, based on the acquired information about the strategic projects, planned in the 18 municipalities of the district during the period 2010-2013.
During the subsequent discussion, representatives of the NGOs and the business organizations presented additional comments and suggestions which shall be incorporated in the final draft of the updated Strategy, which is expected to be prepared by 15.08.2010. The final draft is expected to be endorsed by the District Development Council of Plovdiv District during Sept. 2010.
